Toga Dance, The Traditional Dance Ban From Siguntur Kingdom

Tari Larangan or Dance Ban

Toga Dance which means "Dance Ban" is an ancient traditional dance Siguntur Kingdom, empire that is still associated with the Minangkabau kingdom in Pagaruyung and supposedly still in touch with the Royal Malayu Dharmasraya in Hindu-Buddhist era. Because it is still associated with the Minangkabau and Malayu, some dance movement is similar to Dance Minangkabau and Malayu.

According to the heir to the Kingdom Siguntur, Toga Dance is the official dance of Dharmasraya's Empire since based in Siguntur in the 14th century.
